Decided to remove all dead weight from the housing. Took off the whole rangefinder mechanism, the handle and the bottom plate. Filed diwn the sharp edge where the RF had been. Was left with a bunch of ugly holes

So I put the screws back in and sawed of the heads, sanded all the visible aluminium with 10 different grit paper, to get a shine.
